Thrifted|Fur Collar Vintage Coat

I recently stopped by my local thrift store to buy some glass vases and cups for a D.I.Y project and stumbled across this amazing coat for $9!  I have to say it felt as if the coat was waiting for me because it’s practically unused, no damages, truly a gem find in mint condition. I’ve been wanting to add a faux fur collar coat to my wardrobe for quite some time and was so excited to find one especially at that bargain. It was either very hard to find or too expensive when searching for the vintage feel like this one, so I truly got lucky.

The cut seems to be a A-line cut which can be boxy for me, but the buckles at the waist (which don’t adjust) give it a nice silhouette without looking too much of a square on my short frame.  This will definitely be my go to for the upcoming holidays and events as this coat adds a luxurious and elegant look to any outfit. I didn’t see any brand on this coat but it does have a little tag where it says it’s made in the USA by The international Women’s Garment Union.  Definitely some history behind this coat, nonetheless I will wear it for years to come.
