The concept of guardian angels exists throughout all cultures and religions in one form or the other. In Hinduism this concept is known as Atman or your higher self. Native Americans identified them as totems, spirit guides and animal spirits. Buddhist believe that within us all is a seed of divine light guiding us toward enlightenment. African religion and mythology is heavily ingrained in the belief that we have many sorts of spiritual beings primarily ancestors known as Eguns. No matter what the belief or history, we are all born with an appointed higher being to protect and guide us through life.
Our perceptions on this planet is very limited and we’re only able to perceive within those limitations. Awareness is the beginning to communicating with your guardian spirit as they can be anywhere, anyone at anytime. It could be that random act of kindness from an unknown person, people in our lives we take for granted or simply that “inner voice” that speaks to us to warn us of danger or console during times of sadness.
In addition to awareness, there are several techniques that can ground you and help you recognize your guardian angels.

In a quiet space free of disturbances and distractions, set up a plate where you will pace your herb as an offering.
Angelica Root: As it’s name implies, this root is related to the angelic realm. It is offered to your archangel to attract clear energy where messages can be received and sent. Banishes and removes evil and negative energy when sprinkled around the home or carried in a small pouch. Particularity useful to protect children and childbirth.
Candles: Represent the 4 elements, the candle itself (earth), the flame (fire), which corresponds to St.Michael’s element. The liquefying wax (water), (Air) the ether in which it burns into transporting your thoughts and intent, such as your prayers and requests.
Quartz Crystal: This crystal helps amplify and transform the energy and intent you’re working with. It helps ground, clarify and strengthen the mind and auric field.

Intention is all you need and of course an open heart. Guardian angels are known as messengers from the highest and most pure source we call god, the creator. When you’re in tune with your higher self, you listen and hear things differently, vividly. You’re able to quickly discern surroundings, thoughts and things that happen to you on a moments notice or daily basis and begin to understand the foundations rooted along those feelings and experiences. I don’t believe in much luck and certainly not coincidences. Everything happens for a reason. in divine order. Your timing.
Everyday we’re exposed to constant distractions. Our phones, the media, our negative thoughts, bills, you name it! The distraction from what’s happening and the lack of attention we pay to our intuition leads us to succumb to the symptoms of self neglect. Depression, anger, angst, confusion and fear are just some of the imbalances we deal with when we don’t consult with our inner selves and guides to provide the light through the darkness.
St. Michael helps pierce through those distractions and false hoods be it people in our lives, situations we’re in. He brings messages from god to advise us and bring us back on track with the mission we were brought to earth to accomplish. St. Michael is the defender of truth and warrior of evil and negativity. During times of difficulties he provides courage and reassurance and protects his followers fiercely.
Call onto St. Michael during times where you feel you’re not understood or feel defeated. St. Micael helps you see the bigger picture and appreciate your lesson in the pursuit of your truth.
