Did you drink water today?

This is your daily reminder to stay hydrated!

Dehydration is by far the most overlooked root cause of many chronic dis-eases. Have you ever thought that you’re not sick, that perhaps you’re severely dehydrated?

Depending on the study you refer to, it is said that the brain is anywhere from 75% to 85% water. No matter what the exact percentage that's a lot to cover if your brain is dehydrated by the slightest. Dehydration is related to a multitude of cognitive disfunctions which affects your mood, memory, vision, critical thinking and energy levels and contribute to the decline of other chronic diseases related to brain/neurological imbalances such as dementia and Alzheimer's. In children, dehydration can particularly be a problem as most times behavioral issues arise such as irritability, lethargy and lack of focus can impact a child's brain development over time.

Now, drinking too much water can also not be a good thing as your blood could become very diluted and flush out important electrolytes and drastically lower the levels of sodium in your blood. Salt and electrolytes contain important minerals which work to maintain proper electric charges in the brain and body. Yes, we are electric beings. You are a spark of life. The point is to maintain a proper balance.

Start your day with a glass of water at the very least before starting the coffee machine. Not only will your body appreciate it, but so will your brain. It will relieve you of the constant brain fog, headaches and migraines and allow you to gain more energy and think clearly and of course, feel good overall.

Summer Skin Prep

Dry Bushing is one of my favorite skin care routines and not only is it topically beneficial to remove dead skin, reveal soft skin, and treat cellulite, but also has many health benefits overall. One of the most important health benefits of dry brushing is the ability to stimulate the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is made up of a network of tissues and organs that fights infections, bacteria in the blood and other toxins and is a essential part of the immune system which supports the body's defense against viruses, bacteria, infections and supports the body's natural detoxification processes. The Lymphatic system consists of Lymph fluid which is a water like substance made of white blood cells, among other immune fighting cells that protect against bacteria and infections in the blood.

One of the most efficient ways to detox is through the skin and dry brushing stimulates blood circulation which is needed for proper detoxification. Another way to stimulate the lymphatic system is by sweating with some form of physical exercise since the lymphatic system has no central pump to move the fluid through the network as efficiently. So regular exercise and stimulating techniques like dry brushing and massages help the body maintain strength and balance to support the immune system.

I dry brush 2-3 times a week or every other day with a natural bristle brush you can find at most holistic wellness stores and sites near you.

All you need is 5 minutes before you shower for smooth soft skin with the added health benefits.

How to Dry Brush
Start at the soles of your feet and brush upward to the stomach, toward the heart.

For the stomach, work in a clockwise direction.

Use firm, small strokes upward, or work in a circular motion.

When you get up to your upper body, start at your hands, up to your arms toward the heart.

Lightly and delicately brush your chest area toward the heart.

Make sure your motions are slow and gentle so you don't tear, scratch or irritate the skin.

Self Initiation

The word "initiate" simply means to start. The moment you start to search for truth in any way, shape or form, you have actually started on your path of initiation. From then on, your initiation deepens in direct proportion to your efforts. Remember, input=output. There are many stages in any person's spiritual path. Each experience in a person's life journey is an initiation in itself, as certain realizations are made. Again, these are personal realizations and are dictated by your own progress and level of advancement. These, levels, have nothing to do with with the grades and titles adopted by "tribes", "covens", "spiritual house". An initiate advances by becoming aware. -Phillip Cooper

It is very important to build a personal relationship and foundation with the concept of what "spirituality" means to you. Spirituality does not mean you have to be subordinate to anything or anyone outside of you. It does not mean that if you interact with your spirit guides or spiritual gifts that you will be "cursed" for doing it "wrong". There is no right or wrong in your spiritual development, there is only truth, your truth. Just because something is different does not mean its wrong, just that what works for me, may not work for you.

Many people nowadays rush to "initiate" into a religion, tradition or following without first honoring their own individuality. Not saying that a community is bad, just that each individual that makes up that whole should have some sense of their individual strengths. If everyone is the same and no individual variations are displayed then you're technically in a cult when often times than not, the "leader" is demeaning, withholds information and manipulates others on the basis of the followers perceived weakness.

You are an individual. There is no one else like you in existence, so it naturally follows that there is only one path for you to follow. Your Own. Your path leads to truth, not someone else's truth, but your own truth concerning your magical true self and your relationship with the universe. No teacher could ever lead you to truth. All that can ever be done is to show you the way.

In order for you to be born, you need two parents, four grandparents, eight great grandparents, 16 second great grandparents, 32 third great grandparents, etc. If you go all the way to ninth great grandparents, that’s 2,048 ancestors. If you go a little further to 12 generations, you have 4,094 ancestors.

Your DNA is from those 4,094 people that lived over the last 400 + years

Think about that for a second especially when attempting to embrace, implement and integrate Ancestral veneration into our “modern” lifestyle. A society that overlooks traumas or the trend of “healers” seeking to heal others without addressing their own wounds. We must heal our current relationships especially those parental and familial wounds. Understand who/what hurt our parents, their parents and beyond.

Think about how much trauma, pain, suffering, fear, and all of the low-density energy that was experienced by those people that lived in times where they didn’t have as much safety, knowledge, information, and security as we do now.

It seems as though we have all this information and accessibility but refuse to acknowledge the truth. Ignorance simply means “to ignore” it is the root of the word, ignore what is so presently in our human experience. Life is beautiful, but the gesture of existence comes with its stipulations.

We are here to live our lessons, material possessions are only consequentials to this realm, successive side effects of living in our truth and purpose.

If everyone is the same and no individual variations are displayed then you're technically in a cult when often times than not, the "leader" is demeaning, withholds information and manipulates others on the basis of the followers perceived weakness.

You are an individual. There is no one else like you in existence, so it naturally follows that there is only one path for you to follow. Your Own. Your path leads to truth, not someone else's truth, but your own truth concerning your magical true self and your relationship with the universe. No teacher could ever lead you to truth. All that can ever be done is to show you the way.

In order for you to be born, you need two parents, four grandparents, eight great grandparents, 16 second great grandparents, 32 third great grandparents, etc. If you go all the way to ninth great grandparents, that’s 2,048 ancestors. If you go a little further to 12 generations, you have 4,094 ancestors.

Your DNA is from those 4,094 people that lived over the last 400 + years

Think about that for a second especially when attempting to embrace, implement and integrate Ancestral veneration into our “modern” lifestyle. A society that overlooks traumas or the trend of “healers” seeking to heal others without addressing their own wounds. We must heal our current relationships especially those parental and familial wounds. Understand who/what hurt our parents, their parents and beyond.

Think about how much trauma, pain, suffering, fear, and all of the low-density energy that was experienced by those people that lived in times where they didn’t have as much safety, knowledge, information, and security as we do now.

It seems as though we have all this information and accessibility but refuse to acknowledge the truth. Ignorance simply means “to ignore” it is the root of the word, ignore what is so presently in our human experience. Life is beautiful, but the gesture of existence comes with its stipulations.

We are here to live our lessons, material possessions are only consequentials to this realm, successive side effects of living in our truth and purpose.
