I had the pleasure to attend the Latinista Fashion Week Show this past weekend at the fabulous Ogilvy and Mather building in NYC. Latinista Fashion Week is headed by the strong Latina, Dee Rivera of Dee & Co. Group who works very hard to provide a platform for up and coming Latina and Latino fashion designers. Shes is very down to earth and was greeting all guests at the door making sure everyone was enjoying the evening.
The spotlight was on three amazing Latino designers such as the stunning shoe line Burju by the professional dancer and choreographer Burju Perez who’s shoes have also been worn by the cast of Dancing with the Stars! Dominican Designer Milagros Batista exhibited some very elegant and beautifully knitted one of a kind pieces and Mexican Designer Cesar Galindo‘s daring yet sophisticated collection was also featured.
There were many stands sponsoring the event and of course I picked something up from the Makeup Artist Vera Moore. I was blown away by all the pigmentation and quality of Vera’s lipsticks and fell in love with her lip liners, especially cocoa. Vera Moore has worked for many celebrities and caters to the many ranges of women of color. Definitely going to try out more products from Vera’s collection.

My outfit for the night. I went with a burnt orange to represent my transition into the sacral chakra as well as enhance my carnelian stone I was carrying. The energy was great and I had a great time.
