Mary Kay Intense Moisturizer + Mary Kay Soothing Eye Gel

August 17, 2012 by hellnotesforbeauty |

Recently I’ve added Mary Kay’s Intense Moisturizing Cream to my daily regimen.  My skin has been more on the dry side lately  so I decided to use this until I set a more precise regimen (thinking about Mario Badescu).  I really like this moisturizer, it’s super thick and rich and helps ease my skin when my allergies strikes and irritates my skin.  The scent is almost unnoticeable too which is a plus for me.

It cost $30 but I got it for free by hooking up my MK consultant with orders. A little goes a long way with this cream and usually I use it as a night cream, especially now in the summer.  However if I see my skin is a bit dry I wear a little bit under my foundation or TM (in this case Maybelline’s BB Cream).

I purchased this under eye gel for about $12.  For some reason I always thought gel based facial products were for oily, acne type skin so I was curious to see how this moisturizing eye gel  works for me.  I can’t really notice it’s moisturizing, but it definitely soothes my eyes as it’s described to do.  Especially when my eyes are itchy and dry, I put some on and it stops the itching and soothes my eye area.

Overall I like MK products.  I have a few of their eye shadows, lip glosses and have been impressed with the colors and pigmentation.  The eyehadow above is called aquamarine.  It’s very pretty with blue/green colors reflecting.  Rockin Red Lip Gloss is pictured below.
