I tend to roll my eyes when I hear youtubers say, “I can’t believe it’s already the month of so and so month.” But boy is it true! Time seems to have been flying by me these past couple of months with end of quarter reports due at work, gatherings and endless errands. In the midst of it all, I’ve discovered some new beauty products, revisited (and repurchased) a long time favorite as well as give my poor dry feet some TLC.
Eye Cream. Late October I visited my local department store for a new foundation (review coming soon) and the ladies at the counter were nice enough to add some goodies to my purchase. One of those freebies was Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Under Eye Cream which I’ve been using nightly ever since.
I’ve tried a handful of eye creams and gels and noticed my eyes are very sensitive as the next day they seem puffy and very itchy. This however, is very light and non greasy and works well with my sensitive skin. I use it every night before bed and love how moisturized my skin feels without the drying effects. Definitely a full version contender (soon as my budget permits).
Concealer. Not much to say about this concealer as it’s very well known throughout the beauty world. As you know me well I love concealers and tried the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer a while back but fell off due to difficulty finding a color to match once my tan faded. But recently I repurchased it in a close enough match, shade (NW25) and the coverage is amazing. No creasing, looks natural, great coverage. Pure perfection.
Bronzer. As you can see, about to hit pan on this NYC Cosmetics Bronzer in the shade “Sunny.” This is my perfect color and another favorite I have neglected recently. After revisiting, I repurchased another back up as it’s the only bronzer shade that does not leave my skin tone orange by the end of the day after oxidation.
Brushes. Real Techniques brushes are the best finds ever! My local Walmart finally carries them. These brushes are intense and work just like the pros do. I have cleaned them twice since purchasing and have yet to experience any shedding. These are by far the best beauty purchase I’ve made as far as brushes are concerned. They’re affordable and it’s what I’ve been reaching for daily.
Vitamin E. This ointment has been saving my poor dry feet since the last days of summer. Now that winter is ready to make its debut, this lush ointment is just want I need to prevent dried cracked feet. I add a generous amount to both my heels and cover with socks and I’m left with super soft feet.
Tea Tree oil is my all time favorite and I use it to prevent dandruff on my scalp and as a on the spot acne treatment due to its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Rose water is so versatile I use it for everything, Its scent is therapeutic and it’s my go to in my aromatherapy arsenal. I inhale a little before meditation to calm me and enliven my senses. I also use it as a toner in the mornings and evenings. Rose water is very moisturizing for the skin as well as soothing for those dry and sensitive skin types.
