Once in A Blue Moon Aura Bath

This Friday, July 31st, will be the second full moon this month known as the blue moon.  This event takes place every couple of years and will be in the sign of Aquarius (the water bearer).  In addition, there will also be a meteor shower that occurs between mid July to late August, with the last two nights being its peak time for a display known as the Southern Delta Aquarids.  This meteor shower originates in the constellation of the sign Aquarius as well.

Aquarius is the sign of information and technology.  Also associated with computers, electricity, politics, innovation and social norms.  It’s a sign that values justice, community and team work. The Blue Moon energy is a good time to evoke and balance the goddess energy, especially after reeling from the new moon in cancer which deals with emotions.  A time to nurture our imaginations and encourage artistic passions, self improvement and many innovative ways to reinvent your self.

I collected some water over the last two nights during the transit of the Delta Aquarids.  I feel like those comets are actually messengers from the universe making their way and what better time to harness that energy than during these couple of days. Here, I will show you an Aura bath using my favorite, sunflowers to welcome that energy and put it to good use.

There’s no denying sensing the true masculine energy of the sunflower despite its typical association with femininity.  They stand tall (over 6ft!) and have very strong stems, a feeling of strength. Associated with fire, when sunflowers are used in magic, they create movement, raises energy and brightens the atmosphere. I use sunflowers all the time to boost my energy and lighten my aura during times I’m feeling unfocused. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients

• Florida Water
• Honey
• Gold Candle
• Water
• Sunflowers
• Bowl

Gold’s energy is vibrant and projective.  I use gold for matters of the mind such as poor concentration and memory. When worn, gold enhances will power, courage and confidence.  It brings motion to idle dreams, ideas and goals and encourages manifestation.

Projective Energy is bright, outward, aggressive, active, forward, electrical. Deflects negative energy, overcomes inertia and creates movement.

Florida Water is an old timers type of cologne or charged water with a unique blend of florals, spices and citrus.  My mom used to always use this to freshen her room or calm the “nerves” as she would say.  It is a very popular ingredient for many spells and just as potent when used alone.

Directions

• Fill bowl with water
• Add sunflower petals and break sunflower’s core into bowl (optional)
• Add honey
• Add Florida water
• Light candle and meditate for a few minutes and program the bath
• Take bath or pour over you after shower
