Finding the perfect all organic and natural skin care & beauty products has been a hassle for me these past couple of months, years actually. I remember a few summers ago researching organic skin care brands online only to be left a bit confused about the ingredients and shocked with the prices of some of the products and lack of sampling. I don’t mind paying a little more for a cleanser or moisturizer, but don’t feel confident paying so much money on something I’m not too sure will work out for me.
Then comes…Petit Vour and changes the game on me. Petit Vour is a vegan friendly, cruelty free, non toxic monthly subscription box. It provides the opportunity to try out natural and organic beauty and skin care lines for only $15 a month. I quickly signed up and received my first box and recently my September box too.
My first box was rather interesting and feel like it captured everything from my quiz I took before purchase. I received 5 sample items, of which 1 was full sized. 2 were skin related, 2 were hair related and 1 was makeup related.
My first rave has got to be this Mychelle Fruit Enzyme Scrub. This stuff is amazing and the best scrub I’ve ever used. My skin has been very dull, and have been dealing with these under the skin bumps that miraculously have been disappearing little by little with every use. This is why I prefer semi to full size products to sample because you can get a lot of use out of the product and determine if it works for you. Yes, I will be purchasing some Mychelle products (moisturizer & eye cream in mind).
The rest of the items are equally as interesting. Check out my thoughts below.
I haven’t used heat on my hair since this past May and spent all summer in my curly girl status. I recently visited the salon and straightened my hair and found it to be on the dry side. I was able to do a very good deep conditioner and maintain shine throughout the week with this “feed your shine” serum. It has a very light feel which is great for my fine hair as some serums tend to weigh my hair down. The scent is very light and like how silky my hair feels, glad I came across this line as there’s a few things that caught my eye like this styling whip.
I was very excited to try this face serum because I know the many benefits of turmeric and was intrigued with how this would work for me. I’ve never tried serums before so I was unsure on how to use it. After some research I found its best that serums are worn under your moisturizer which I have been doing nightly. I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference yet but this claims to reduce fine lines and increase firmness. It is fragrance and oil free my skin likes this as I’ve noticed my skin is a lot more softer and a lot less breakouts.
I also got this finishing powder with a pink hue to it by Modern Minerals. I swatched it and it has a slight white cast on my tan skin and a little shimmer. The powder is very fine an soft as well. I may have to wait until my tan subsides or as a light highlighter, we shall see.
Sneak peek of September, review coming soon!
