The human aura is believed to be an energy field that surrounds us emanating in various colors and layers. The way we think, feel and co-exist in this world ultimately shapes our aura. It’s more or less described as an energy field in which like a magnet, is able to repel and attract things into our existence.
It’s also connected to the 7 chakras in terms of colors, corresponding organs etc (more on that in another post). There are people who can supposedly see other people’s aura while kirlian photography is able to capture the human aura and it’s varied colors. You don’t really have to be “psychic” or gifted to get a glimpse of someone’s aura. Most of the time certain people’s personality and the way they make you feel when around them can more or less give you a clue as to what type of energy they are vibrating with.
When it comes to thinking of ourselves we often tend to think about our physical aspects and most of the time forget that we are beings full of energy. Some know it as the aura, others call it the the human electromagnetic field, chi, prana etc. No matter what it’s called we are made of immense infinite energy that exists and affects our lives in so many ways.
It is believed that everything and everyone has an aura be it animals, plants or objects, all imbued with immense amounts of energy which is constantly shifting and changing. Depression, illness and overall negativity can be a sign of a weakened aura.
So how can we enhance and protect our aura?
There are many ways in which you can strengthen your aura. You can visualize it, meditate on it or simply cultivate a more positive and calm mind.
As of late to help protect and enhance my aura I’ve been meditating. (I work around a lot of negative people and find that at times it can affect me.) Meditating helps me visualize my aura and also helps keep my thoughts in check. Although I have to admit it’s not my favorite method. Lately it’s been really hard for me to keep still for a long time and my mind is constantly on the go, making it hard for me to concentrate on one thought. So I decided to try aura baths. Just like you would bathe your physical body, an auric bath can be done to cleanse your energy, spirit, soul.
The concept of using water to cleanse not only your physical self but spiritual self as well has been around for ages. Rivers, the ocean and waterfalls were deemed to be sacred places where one can go to renew and refresh one’s being. Unfortunately for the majority of us we don’t have access to such places on a regular basis so making your own spiritual bath can be second best.
I used to be the type of girl who would detest getting flowers as gifts. I would find it to be a waste of money since they typically would die in a matter of days. But I have found that as I get older, I appreciate them and look forward to having them. Something about a flower’s aura (and plants) instantly changes your mood. Lately I have been buying myself roses. They are so pretty and every time I look at them they make me smile……
So right before they die, I like to use them for spiritual/auric baths.
Colors are very influential and each color carries it’s own vibration becoming very useful for a variety of purposes. White for example is associated with peace, Pink with love, sensitivity, yellow promotes happiness and stamina, while red typically is associated with passion and courage.
No matter what the color, you can never go wrong with roses…..
For centuries and throughout many cultures, water and the profound connection we have with it connects us to our spiritual selves.
A spiritual bath is just a way for you to focus your intent. Intent is what makes anything possible in my eyes. Knowing what it is you want to accomplish with clear intentions is key to anything, I believe.
So this past weekend I decided to use pink roses. Pink is associated with love, serenity. I chose this color because I’ve been a bit on the pessimistic side and doubting myself with certain changes going on in my life. So I decided to open myself to self love and see what comes about.
How to give yourself an aura bath…..
***Keep in mind that this is in no way to claim that it will cure you of any physical, mental or emotional ailments. If you are suffering with any disease or mental problems please consult your licensed/certified medical doctor. I’m just a girl on a quest for spiritual balance sharing her experiences.***
Obviously what you will need first is water. I tend to use distilled water. However tap water is just as good as well as holy water from church. If you would like you can say a little prayer over your tap water of your choice to help change it’s vibration. I tend to do this with my distilled water. I sit with the gallon of water and meditate with it for a bit enforcing it with my intentions and either put it away for future use or just use it once I’m ready.
Now this is where the fun part starts….what you decide to add to the water is all up to you. I have started with roses, but any type of flower, herb, spice and oil can be a great addition to any spiritual bath.
For this particular bath I plucked several roses added them to my bowl and started adding several ingredients. I started off with cinnamon, avocado oil, ylang ylang essential oil, Vanilla oil and topped it off with some honey. Each ingredient has a specific purpose for example vanilla & avocado oil is known to attract love, while ylang ylang is also good for all types of loving energy and cinnamon is used to help attract good luck.
Once I finished mixing everything together all the while focusing on the bath’s intention I hopped in the shower and showered normally with my soap etc.
Once I got done with my usual shower I poured the spiritual bath over me. Do not rinse! You want to just pour it over you as a final rinse and simply dry yourself normally. This was truly one of the best, the aroma it left lingering in my hair and body was simply amazing.
While I poured the bath over me I visualized my aura being cleansed. For some reason while meditating I find that I always see my aura as being blue. So I just visualized my blue aura intensifying.
Once you are done you want to pick up the rose petals and simply throw them in the garbage.
So if you tend to find your self a bit depressed, or dealing with a streak of bad luck or simply feel like you can use some energy boost don’t hesitate on trying different methods to help you cope with whatever you are dealing with. Remember that you are the world and the world is a reflection of you and it can always be a better place if you put your intentions in motion.
I’ve been trying several different concoctions and have also made a few baths for some family and friends. In a future post I will share with you some more recipes.
